Business Challenge  Address society's waste production problem by creating new material technologies to meet packaging needs, and new ways to engage the greater community through the creation of a website for businesses and individuals who want to support the environment when they purchase sustainable shipping products. 

Design Solution  Sustainable Mycelium Packaging (SMP) is designed to be a business-to-business company, but also services individual shoppers. It offers sustainable packaging alternatives made from mushroom-based compostable material. The SMP website provides an online marketplace that allows the user to easily search for and purchase environmentally sustainable packaging. Not only does it provide standard product options, but also allows for custom orders to accommodate special sizes, labels, quantity, and recurring orders.

Design Solution  Design a mobile app that allows users to track plastic usage, set goals for reducing usage, and provide fun ways to compete with others in order to motivate behavior change.

Business Challenge  Address the needs of customers who want to support their environmental sustainability values with their pocketbook. Provide a way for this target audience to easily connect with likeminded artisans.

Design Solution  Build a comprehensive online marketplace where all products have been fully vetted as meeting rigorous sustainability standards so that customers can make any purchase feeling confident that it supports their values. Users can search by product type, locality, popularity, in addition to curated products. Users can also learn more about each artisan.
